Pressure-test a business idea
The questions an investor asks that founders dodge.
Pressure-test this idea the way a skeptical investor would. Idea: [THE IDEA] Customer: [WHO PAYS] Why now: [WHAT CHANGED] Answer these, and be blunt: 1. Who has this problem badly enough to pay, and what do they do about it today? 2. What has to be true for this to work that probably isn't? 3. Why hasn't an existing player done this? 4. What's the cheapest experiment that would show this is wrong within two weeks? End with the single biggest reason this fails. Do not soften it.
